Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Assaulted in New York City Hotel Room

Lindsay Lohan is on the other side of the law this time. The star was allegedly attacked in her New York City hotel room early Sunday morning by a man named Christian LaBella. Charges were later dropped.

Apparently LaBella attacked her after she confronted him about taking multiple pictures and videos of her in the hotel room, where friends were hanging out after a night at 1Oak in the Big Apple. After she grabbed his phone, he reportedly pushed her onto a bed and choked her. She reportedly did not suffer any bruises, but did have some scratch marks from the incident.

A statement was issued by NYPD about the incident Sunday: "Police were called to the W Hotel, following a phone call for assault. We took the man into custody shortly after 6 a.m. and he was charged this afternoon,"

"Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel. While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized," the actress' rep later confirmed. "Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation."

LaBella was reportedly arrested on two misdemeanor counts of assault and two charges of harassment, but charges were later dropped by police, much to the dismay of the Lohan camp. The star's rep said in response to the development: "It's both distressing and outrageous…and there should be a consequence for that."
